About me
Hi! I’m Olivia Bensimon, a freelance journalist based in New York City. My work has been published in Crain’s New York Business, New York Focus/THE CITY, Hell Gate, City Limits, Gothamist, Queens Daily Eagle and Politics NY.
Recently, I’ve been freelancing as a stringer for the New York Times’ metro desk. I used to roam the streets for both of the city’s tabloids, cutting teeth as a runner at the New York Post.
I’m a 2021 graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where I focused on urban reporting, with a concentration in audio and data journalism. I’m a 2018 New York University grad, majoring in History and Journalism.
